Wii Bluetooth Module
Will Nintendo repair this Wii?
I want to send it in due to a power issue (might be caused by a bad bluetooth module). Technically it’s still under warranty, but it’s obvious that it’s been opened before; it’s very beaten and missing a few screws, the DVD drive isn’t connected to the ribbon cable due to a broken clip and even if it were it won’t take discs due to other breaks inside the drive. If they were able to power the thing on and take a look at the memory they’d see a bunch of warranty-voiding homebrew and custom VC games. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with these matters and how closely Nintendo’s repair guys looked at them.
The fact that the unit has been opened voids your warranty. Nintendo will not repair it without payment. Nintendo will probably tell you to go get a new wii rather than fix a homebrew box…
So you might as well pop the thing open and replace the power supply (if that really is the issue) with an aftermarket part.
